Paper-thin Light Panel for the Guitar
The light panel is made from an advanced rubber material, thin enough to attach to diiferent
instruments such as guitars, pianos or drums. Initial first release will offer light panels for acoustic guitars only, covering the first five frets.
Segments of the light panel are turned on and off from song information processed in the SplashPod below. By placing your fingers over
the lit segments you are learning the basics of music theory and chord formations in a much more efficient manner.
No more expensive tutorage or painstaking tablature from guitar books, just attach and play. It's like a dance-mat for your guitar.
SplashPod™ - BlueTooth Guitar Control
The SplashPod™ powers the light panel and controls the lit segments from data streamed from a PC or mobile phone via BlueTooth.
On-board memory will allow users to save segments of a song they want to practise.
The SplashPod™ is a portable device that can be attached to different instruments and provide control over the learning process.
The song being played is controlled by play, pause, stop and a record function to allow songs or just certain segments to be saved, to
practise anywhere, anytime. Future enhancements will include a Bluetooth foot pedal, giving a fully hands-on learning experience.
The product will be geared towards mobile phones allowing you to download software onto your phone and search for music from our website.
These files are sent to the pod by a BlueTooth connection from your phone. This unique feature means you can learn your favourite songs in
a tent whilst at a music festival, for example. A USB cable is used to recharge the battery and for future releases, will also allow you to
sync and send songs you’ve chosen to learn. The pod powers the light panel that’s wrapped around the guitar fretboard and the
sequence of notes are lit according to the song information playing, giving you an easy method of learning.
Enjoy the power to play and the freedom to learn by interacting with music instead of just being a passive listener. Release the musician
within and find out just how enjoyable an instrument can be once you get past the initial frustration of learning the basics. SplashPlay
aims to make learning a fun and enjoyable prospect and is aimed at complete beginners to accomplished musicians.
